\*\*\*edited screenshots to remove/blur any identifying/personal information\*\*\* a friend of mine owns a mobile welding repair business and has recently been contacted via imessage, from an email address, asking for a âwater tower baseâ to be built. after a few days, the i. Message turned green indicating he was blocked or something, so my friend sent an email to that address and got a response like nothing has ever happened. now, i. Message is functioning again and theyâre in contact once more. everything seems sketchy as hell, but the guy isnât doing the typical âbuild X and iâll have my driver pick it up.â iâve attached screenshots of the interaction. as i own my own business and have the ability to take credit cards, now this person is wanting to pay me via CC. iâm obviously not going to just take this money and run, because i fear the repercussions from my financial institution if this is some elaborate charge back scam. paying via CC was the persons idea, and today theyâve sent my friend this text: âOh okay I know I donât need to be concern about your company processing merchant, it just because my card doesnât work with all credit card merchants, it only work for quickbook and Clovergo just so you knowâ is this just a block and go-on scenario? whatâs really happening? i canât fathom whatâs going on here. if this is all over the place, i sincerely apologize, just not sure where else to turn, and i canât find anything online relating to whatâs going on. Thanks.
