Underage Scam Call: Don't Panic

A reddit report about a romance scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I got a call today from someone claiming to be a private investigator from the crime prevention unit. He knew my first name, but called my VOIP number (not my real cell) that I use for dating apps. He said that he has evidence of me exchanging photos with someone named Masen? Doesn't ring a bell at all. He claimed the other person was 15 years old. I do not have any recollection of anything like this happening, and I've gone through all my apps to look for that name or anything weird. The other night I was super drunk and on apps a lot, so now my OCD is making me question myself and my ethics and morals around whether or not I would have done that. Logically I know I wouldn't have, and no messages show I did, but I'm still panicking as being in trouble with the law is the scariest thing to me. I didn't really let him finish. As soon as he made the accusation I said, "Well, I don't know if this is a prank or scam or something, but I'll be getting a lawyer before I talk any further." He said ok and we disconnected. His number was a VOIP as well. I looked this up, but when calling back, the voicemail does say private investigator. I almost wish I waited until or if he asked for money or made a demand so I would definitely know this was an underage scam. Help, what do I do? I don't want to stay worried, and I'm so nauseous and want to throw up. I can't sleep.
