They have her sending money via Apple Gift Cards, Bitcoin, and I think at one time Western Union. My entire family and her friends tried convincing her she's being deceived and scammed, but shes 75 and being fooled by A. I. deep fake tech. The person is pretending to be a celebrity. We dont know what to do next. FBI wont get involved unless shes been scammed a large amount.. like hundreds of thousands.. So far we believe its in the amount of over $60,000 USD. So is there a way we can set the scammer up? Im sure theyre too smart to be set up because I think theres multiple people taking turns messaging her, and that its an international ring because theres an accent I detected when they were speaking when I overheard a convo the one day. Is there a way perhaps to get the scammer to allow her to send money thru a method that isnt obvious that its being tracked so we can see where the money is going to? Once she sees the location isnt where the person claims they are perhaps that will help her wake up from her fraudulent fairy tale romance. Oh I forgot to mention I believe they had her using cashapp too, and are communicating to her thru whatsapp and another messenger app that I havent been able to see long enough on her phone. The scammers turned her against her family and she now hides her in her room, and when shes out amongst us she hides her phones. I mention phones because they had her get another phone so they can talk in secret without us even knowing about the other phone but of course she didnt hide it from us. This is a nightmare for my family. Any info on how to go forward would be appreciated
