PayPal Scam Near-Miss: Am I Safe Now?

A reddit report about a rental scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

A little bit ago I made a post asking if something was a scam on a different subreddit. It was. I think I stopped before it was too late, but I want to ask some clarification questions. It might sound stupid, I just have a lot of anxiety. For context, someone was going to send me money over PayPal. In fact, on his end he did, and he sent a screenshot showing it was sent, but I never saw anything on my end after an hour. Then I found out it was a scam and blocked him, deleted my PayPal, and made a new one. I never sent or received anything. The only information I gave was my PayPal @. I guess my question is: Am I safe now? I am worried there will somehow still be a send back on my end. I would really appreciate anything. I'm really scared. Thank you.
