Walmart Order Scam Leads to Identity Theft Concerns

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Hi all, My wife got an email saying her order was going to be delivered. She never placed an order and assumed it was just a scam, but then today she received another email confirming the order. She checked her account and found a number of odd furniture charges on a card that doesn’t belong to her but is under her name. She has never had a card with those digits and hasn’t opened one, and nothing shows a new account on her Credit Karma. Visa won’t tell me anything, but they think her identity has been stolen. I saw someone else dealt with this before, but I never saw the resolution. Advice please? Thanks in advance.
