Steam and iCloud Scare

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I got scammed. Two people contacted me on Discord. They told me they work with data and account theft and were interested in my Steam account, which is worth quite a bit. They suggested we work something out, and I could either give them a few skins or pay them money. They shared their screen and showed me my entire Steam inventory, even though I had it set to private. They also mentioned that they had access to all my photos in iCloud. Is it possible to hack into someone else’s iCloud? Can you hack into a Steam account? I should mention that this wasn’t a classic phishing scam, because I’m familiar with that method. I had a panic attack and paid them just to calm down. I didn’t see any suspicious actions on either account, but changed all passwords. Was that a bluff?
