I've seen a lot of phishing and scam emails, however, today I received an email from a fairly generic Gmail account that claimed to have dirt on me. Some red flags for me are claims of having recorded naughty footage of me using my camera (I don't have a camera), the exact email being sent to my spam folder three times with five minute intervals, and that this email is found on Fake Email Generator sending the exact same message hundreds of times over. Anyway, there was a particular line claiming to have access to all my data and presented a password that is one that I used in the past (a password I always used when I was younger but not for anything important). This is the first time I've seen anything remotely close to my personal information used in a malicious email. Is this just a new situation I can ignore, and accept that old outdated data from years ago is compromised? Should I be nervous, or is this only dangerous if modern data and information is being used against me?
