Repeated Amazon Gift Card Scam Hides My Emails

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Hi I have been scammed on Amazon twice, not sure how, but I saw a bunch of charges go through for Uber gift cards. Both times I noticed the associated email on my Amazon account puts all emails from Amazon into my Trash. So every time I shop on Amazon, the emails confirming my order, shipping, and delivery all go straight into Trash. The first time this happened, I told Amazon and literally changed all my passwords. The Amazon password is different from the one for my email. I also get no notification to my email when they log in to put orders through my Amazon account. Normally, because of two-step authentication, I should receive an email if someone logs in from a new device. I have already gotten reimbursed from the bank, but I am super weirded out. Does this mean they can access my email? What else should I do beyond changing my password? I don’t choose simple passwords; they are long and have characters, etc.
