It's for an AR/AP WFH position with a company called Equinox Healthtech. There have been a few red flags, but I'm desperate for a job, so I'm holding onto hope that this is real. I just don't know how far to take it to see if it's real or not. I don't want to lose out on an opportunity because I was too paranoid.
Anyway, the interview was over Microsoft Teams, entirely chat based. Which is red flag one. But the interview questions were all very legit and questions I'd be asked in a real job interview. Red flag number two was that they only made me wait an hour to tell me they were hiring me.
I signed a job offer and had orientation, again, over Microsoft Teams, yesterday. They've sent me a bunch of onboarding paperwork. They also gave me a Microsoft 365 account and a company email. The only information I've given them is my name, address, and phone number.
They haven't asked me for any money yet. The paperwork they've emailed me is a payroll form, a sub account and virtual terminal operational control statement, a memorandum of understanding, and official employment contract document, a home office registration form, an AR/AP handbook, and a W-4 form.
