Posting Fiverr gig triggered suspicious messages

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I recently uploaded my gig on Fiverr, and literally right after that I started receiving 4–5 messages. All of them are almost the same and look suspicious. They all include an external link like “digital-project-pro.com” (and similar sites). The messages talk about things like “ATM”, “verification”, or urgent project/payment details. Now I’m confused — are these real buyers or just scam/phishing attempts? Has anyone else experienced this right after publishing a new gig? So far, I haven’t clicked any links and I’ve reported the messages inside Fiverr, but I want to confirm if this is normal or dangerous. Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
