Date: April 09, 2026
A now-deleted post was made on TikTok from the user @marytheblessed974, with the name Mary D. Ayon attached to it. The post detailed having three Lady Gaga tickets available for purchase for her performance at Madison Square Garden on Monday, April 13th. I asked for the price, and she responded $150 each, and I noted I'd have to find two other people to join to cover the full cost. I was asked to share my phone number, which I did, and we proceeded to begin an exchange. I asked for proof of tickets, and screenshots from Ticketmaster were shared. I provided the email associated with my Ticketmaster account, and they sent screenshots of them adding my info to the ticket transfer form on the app. They then noted they'd prefer payment to be sent through Chime. The tag $Courtney-Lewis-225 was provided, and I asked for them to transfer the tickets before I paid. They insisted that I send the money first, sending a screenshot of the pop-up that would confirm the tickets would transfer. Upon sending the money, no tickets were received. They claimed multiple times to be confirming the payment on their end, citing excuses such as slow WiFi. When I continued messaging them, they said they were sent, when I received nothing. I asked for a screenshot confirmation, which they sent. My ticket email featured what seemed to be a page to access the tickets, but the link went to the Ticketmaster homepage, and not to the tickets I'd sent money for. They asked for me to send a screen recording of myself clicking the false link, which I did. At this point, I called Ticketmaster customer service, and they said I needed to get an order number to move forward. When I asked the scammer for this, they did not send anything, asking that I check the screenshots that were initially sent to me, which did not have the number. They then told me that the transfer would not go through unless I sent the money for all three tickets, which was a lie since the money was being sent through a third party application not related to Ticketmaster, which I told them. I told them at this point that I was done with the process and wanted my money back. At this point I also attempted calling the number I was texting from (320-339-9889), and was met with a message that the voice mailbox had not been set up. After a few attempts, they called me via FaceTime audio, repeatedly saying the connection was bad, and then said we should just text instead. At this point I sent a request on Chime for the money to be sent back, which was ignored. When I asked to have the money back they said that they couldn't do that, and then asked for me to send $100 for the other two tickets, which I refused to do. After this, I was not receiving any responses from the scammer, both through calls, FaceTime audio, texts, and TikTok DMs. I have also sent a second request for my money back to the scammer through Chime.
