I lost $205 in Bitcoin to a fake account recovery scam

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone $205.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I have been trying to get my old Snapchat and 2 TikTok accounts back into my possession as my email is inaccessible. I was desperate when someone on Reddit responded to my post and told me about this guy on Telegram. I gave around $205 in bitcoin for the transaction. I understand to some people this might be so stupid that I can't realize if it's a scam. I am literally so desperate to get into those accounts that I lunged into this. Now he is in the "last part of the process" and needs to use STR-rootkits .0 which I'm pretty sure is malware???? I am not too tech savvy, I am so sorry for posting this but I need help before I continue further. I was told by a Redditor that he was a former FBI worker that the cops referred to the Redditor to get their account back too. Also, if anyone can help me get these accounts back into my possession it would mean the world to me.
