Scam Type: Phishing |
Amount Lost: $49.99 |
Date: March 17, 2026
I was going through my subscriptions and noticed Iâve been getting charged $49.99 every month on PayPal from âYOLO BROTHERS / AskNebula.â I donât remember ever signing up (and honestly, I wouldnât).
I tried contacting them through PayPal, but none of the info worked. Went to their website, didnât recognize an account, but it let me log in with Googleâwhich was already weird. Once inside, there was no clear way to cancel or delete anything. The membership section even said I didnât have an active subscription and that recurring payments were off⌠meanwhile, Iâm still being charged.
Tried their chatâ2 hour wait. Called their numberâjust AI, no human option. Email said it could take up to 10 business days for a response.
I work in marketing, so I mentioned the FTC âClick to Cancelâ rule in an email and pointed out they were in violation. Funny enough, they responded within 10 minutes saying my account was canceled.
Then I called my bank to dispute the charges. At first they couldnât even find them because the charges were listed under different names (one was âDestiny,â and a couple others). We only tracked them down because I had the PayPal dates. The rep told me they get tons of calls about this company from people who donât even know what it is.
I reported them to the FTC. If youâre dealing with the same thing, I definitely recommend doing the same.
