How I Got Out of AskNebula.com's Mystery Charges

I was going through my subscriptions and noticed I’ve been getting charged $49.99 every month on PayPal from “YOLO BROTHERS / AskNebula.” I don’t remember ever signing up (and honestly, I wouldn’t). I tried contacting them through PayPal, but none of the info worked. Went to their website, didn’t recognize an account, but it let me log in with Google—which was already weird. Once inside, there was no clear way to cancel or delete anything. The membership section even said I didn’t have an active subscription and that recurring payments were off… meanwhile, I’m still being charged. Tried their chat—2 hour wait. Called their number—just AI, no human option. Email said it could take up to 10 business days for a response. I work in marketing, so I mentioned the FTC “Click to Cancel” rule in an email and pointed out they were in violation. Funny enough, they responded within 10 minutes saying my account was canceled. Then I called my bank to dispute the charges. At first they couldn’t even find them because the charges were listed under different names (one was “Destiny,” and a couple others). We only tracked them down because I had the PayPal dates. The rep told me they get tons of calls about this company from people who don’t even know what it is. I reported them to the FTC. If you’re dealing with the same thing, I definitely recommend doing the same.
