Gazelle Lowballed Me After I Sent My iPad

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone $77.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I sent Gazelle a iPad in perfect condition (although it is an older model). The offer was for $77. I just received an email adjusting the offer to $33 because "**Does Not Hold a Charge:** We found that your Apple iPad (8th generation) 32GB Wi-Fi does not consistently hold a charge. **Scratches:** We found that the device has more than the acceptable amount of scratches." This is not true. I have never had a problem with a charge lasting weeks and I have pictures showing that there was not one scratch on the device. I'll be looking for a new sales outlet. I only hope that the device they send back to me is indeed mine and they do not switch it out for one that doesn't hold a charge or has scratches. Please beware before you send your electronics back to Gazelle.
