I received this email this morning claiming to be from the Warner Bros. Legal team. The domain is appsheet.com and it's a no-reply email for both the from and reply-to addresses. The body looks legit, and for context, I'm a graphic designer and in the past I've done some redesigning of movies based on books, no monetized content.
Everything after the attachment is a table of "case reference information," type of content being claimed is in violation, and then there are two parts that leave me confused.
Under the case information is a linked PDF as a documentation file for me to see what's being claimed. I know it's dumb, but the initial email looked legit and the legal stuff caught me off guard, so I did click on the link and it said "your computer can't open please use a different device" and the URL was shortened by Linktree.
The other is it says to reply once it's been removed and addressed, but there's no reply email, and that's where I noticed that there's no law firm or WarnerBros in the email, just the appsheet domain.
Is this a scam and how screwed am I for clicking the link?
