Fake Sketchfab Verification Scam Targets 3D Artists

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I wanted to warn other 3D artists about a new scam targeting Sketchfab users. A fake “Sketchfab Support” account left a comment under my model saying my account wasn’t verified and that I needed to confirm it. The link looked legit at first glance, but it led to a completely fake website pretending to be Sketchfab. Once you click it, the site shows: - a fake “account restricted” warning - a fake chat support agent (“Amelia”) - claims that a “client already paid me” - pressure to “verify my card” to receive the payment - a full form asking for card details, bank identity, etc. This is 100% phishing. Sketchfab never asks for banking verification, and they definitely don’t send support messages through comments. I didn’t enter anything, but the scam is very polished and could easily trick someone — especially creators who sell models. Sharing screenshots in the comments so others can recognize it. Stay safe out there.
