Fake Labcorp Debt Collector Scam

A reddit report about a phishing scam that cost someone $25.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Hi! I got a call from someone claiming to be a debt collector for Labcorp regarding a $25 balance from an old exam. I told her no problem, I could pay it right away, and that I had no idea I still had an open balance from last year. But the email they sent me to make the payment seemed super fishy, and when I asked for the name of the company, she said it was “Debt Collection Company,” which doesn’t make much sense. I then told her I didn’t feel comfortable clicking the link without more information, and she got very aggressive and started yelling, saying I should be ashamed for owing $25 since last year. Super bizarre. Has anyone heard of this company? This is the email they sent while we were on the phone. She also tried to make me give my credit card to pay it directly via phone, which I obviously didn't do.
