I got the following text and a few others like it from this number +1 (502) 695-0711, asking me to make an appointment: “Hi Mark, this is Lisa from Humana reaching out. It may be time to schedule your Annual Checkup for this year. It’s a virtual visit you can do from anywhere that helps to support your overall care! What time is best for a call to get this scheduled? Text X if you don’t want health reminders.” I finally called and made an appointment for today at 2:30 PM. But nobody called me. However, I received the following text today from this number: +1 (888) 904-5286: “Hello, this is Nurse Amy with CareTalk Health on behalf of Humana. This is a reminder of your scheduled appointment tomorrow. Our team will call from 605-546-8080 to get you on video. Please save this number to help ensure we are able to reach you, and have your medication list ready. We look forward to speaking with you! Reply STOP to stop receiving messages. Message and data rates may apply.” I called them to find out what was happening with the appointment because it was supposed to be today, not tomorrow. A virtual assistant answered the call to verify my information before passing me on to a live agent who told me I just needed to wait a little longer for the doctor to call me. But they never called me. So tonight I called Humana directly and they said they had no record of anything about what I was talking about.
