Similar to another poster, I was approached on Behance by "Camille Champagne," who was looking for a graphic designer for the site Spotlight Over the City. I was told to apply for the job by filling out the Contact Us form on that site. I indicated my interest and received an email back from Terri Long, who then also texted to confirm that I received the email. She referred to herself as "Mrs. Terri," which is often a sign that the user is not from the U.S. and the conversation could be a scam. I didn't suspect anything was weird until I was given a Teams invite to speak with Cristin Chandler. She wanted to do the interview right away, but only texting on Teams, not over the phone or on video. She also introduced herself as "Mrs. Cristin." There were long pauses of 15-20 minutes in between each message, and the writing quality differed with each message. She started the conversation with this, which made me question the interaction from the beginning: "Nice to meet you! We want to acknowledge that our approach might be unconventional, and we apologize if it comes across as unprofessional. We're adapting to new ways of doing things, and we appreciate your flexibility. If you're new to this format, please bear with us." I was unable to locate any LinkedIn information for either Camille or Cristin and began to suspect something was off. After three hours of back and forth, I ended the conversation. If this is an actual job with Ms. Long, the interview process is poor. However, I suspect this is some type of scam.
