Fake Debt Collection Calls Demand Personal Info

A bbb report about a phishing scam that cost someone $0.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Debt Collections Scam - Phone calls from Pretrial Division and Process Center. I received a fax for claimant National Asset Management telling me to call them back at 831-795-5753 x 112, Case# ####1065. They said I should call them as they are planning to deliver documents to my HR Dept. this morning. Press 1 to speak to a Case Mgr. Good luck! This message got left on my personal phone once a day or every other day for an entire week. DO NOT DISCUSS ANYTHING PERSONAL WITH THEM!!! They are phishing for your information. If you do owe a debt, you will be notified in writing officially. If you request a copy be mailed or faxed to you, they will insist they have already done so and will not be doing any more mailing. They will quote every residential address that anyone with internet access can quote to you. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS...it is a phishing expedition. You have the right to have written proof of any/all debts in your name and the right to have them shared with you in any form or fashion presentable.
