I wanted to share a specific scam I just encountered so nobody else gets their data or crypto wallets compromised. **Please be very careful.** I am okay so far and was not hijacked because I caught it in time, but this was a close call.
I applied for a job at this company "Auro.AI" linkedin[dot]com/company/auro-ai. If you look at their actual site, it looks very fishy and not legit. Always trust your gut if a company’s digital footprint feels "off." Everything seemed normal at first. They reached out via email and scheduled an interview, using tactics to catch me off guard:
* They said the interview link would be sent 20-30 mins before the call.
* They didn’t send it on time, making me think I was ghosted.
* **3 hours later**, they sent an email with a link to a "Webex" meeting without an apology for the delay.
The link does **not** go to the official Webex domain. It goes to a fake landing page that looks exactly like the real thing and asks you to **"Install the Webex Plugin"** to join the room.
**DO NOT DOWNLOAD OR RUN THIS.** It is an "Infostealer" designed to drain browser wallets (MetaMask, etc.) and steal session cookies to bypass your 2FA.

I know the **job market sucks as hell** right now, but please always check where you apply. If their website seems fishy or not legit, check again, double-check, and triple-check. Scammers these days are getting wild and preying on people looking for work.
