Today I posted my old guitar for sale on Facebook Marketplace, and immediately this woman sent me a message not on the marketplace chat but personally through Facebook, which was already weird in itself. She immediately offered me full price for the guitar and asked when I would be available. I answered her, and she said she would send the money on Zelle and have her son pick up the guitar tomorrow.
She asked for an email and phone number, but from my experience the phone number is all you need. She then told me she sent the money and that I should check my account. I saw nothing, and she said I didn't receive it because I wasn't a business account or something, and that I should check my email. I looked in my spam mail and even Gmail gave me a warning. That was my final straw. I told her I thought this was sketchy, but she kept insisting that she was already debited for the payment and couldn't get her money back, and she told me to call the number on the email for support. I told her again this was sketchy, but she just continued. Finally, I stopped responding, and she seemed to stop too.
