Daily scam calls offer fake loan approval

A bbb report about a phishing scam that cost someone $0.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

The scammer keeps calling daily from a different number each time, but every voicemail left says to call back at (888)269-4978. They always say they’re calling from a loan underwriting office and that my “file” is now eligible for “approval” even though I have not applied for any loans besides the ones I already have through my credit union and the government (student loans). Blocking each phone number used does not seem to help since it’s a new number used daily.
