Couch ordered online never arrived, lost $3,148

A bbb report about a phishing scam that cost someone $3148.24. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Ordered a couch in late Nov, was told it would take 6-8 weeks. Followed up in Dec, then again in January - they said it was in production in Germany - which was fine. Still hadn't heard anything well into January, so I followed up in February, they said one of the couch pieces was damaged and it had to go into production again. Followed up again in March, they said the order was in customs and they could contact me to schedule delivery. Still had zero reach out from them. Followed up again mid-March, they said they still didn't know when delivery would be. Followed up in late March - no response. Followed up in early April - no response. Followed up again - emails are saying they are "non-existent" and come back as "no delivery". Cannot get anyone to help me, reply to me - only chat doesn't respond, VIP email doesn't respond, phone doesn't give any info. Has a very believable website and buildup, but is a total scam.
