I received a phishing letter about an auto warranty. It came with threatening language and a fake check regarding my vehicle warranty. The sender had my name and address, but provided no other information and did not identify themselves except for a phone number. The fine print explained that calling that number opts you in to receive further automated communications from the scammer. This seems to be an attempt to obtain your bank account and vehicle information, either to sell a scam warranty or to steal personal information and bank access.
