I recently applied to AmsTek only to realize they are more than likely a scam company trying to steal personal information. I saw a few posts on reddit and I wanted to add my own experience.
There were several red flags that were alarming:
1. They requested me to provide my driver's license.
2. They abruptly called me and the audio quality was so terrible that I could barely make out anything. The caller was Indian (I don't say this to be disparaging but to align with similar posts that note ethnicity).
3. Their email was not formatted properly. The first email they sent was just a "hi" followed by bullet points of a job description with zero context. They also claimed they would fill in the application for me to send to the company (Infosys) even though they already have my resume.
4. They guaranteed a call with a manager who would ask me questions. This is bizarre because why would I need to submit anything else if a manager is willing to meet with me?
Overall the whole experience was very bizarre. These guys have zero understanding of how applications work and just hope you'll give them info without thinking too much.
