About ten times a week, I'm getting texts like this: 'hi u/notyetgroot, it's Sam with [my city] Roofs. We are working near [my full address] this week doing free roof quotes, want one?' I just block and report spam, but it got me curious what it actually is. Probably someone coded up a bot to sell roofing leads, you figure? Or something more nefarious? This is Southwest FL, where every kind of roofing scam is ubiquitous, so I'm thinking it's 50/50.
