Jury Duty Call from No Caller ID

A reddit report about a other scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I got a call from a no caller ID, didn’t pick up, then they called back. I picked up and confirmed my name when he said it. Once I did so, the same caller switched the numbers/conferenced it to the official sheriff’s phone number. He had me Google the number to confirm that it corresponds with the sheriff’s office. He had my previous address which was registered with the DMV and on my ID, however I do not live there anymore. They did not demand money, just that I show up to the sheriff’s department - the address given was the one that the department corresponds to. Is this a scam? As said, they didn’t demand money or pry for personal information. Just sketched out as the call came through at 8:30pm and all online resources say that sheriffs do not make contact over phone or commonly use No Caller ID.
