Fake DOL Text About Unpaid Violations: I Checked

A reddit report about a other scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Received this text today. Looks legit, right? Except I never received any previous notices, and WA DOL (Department of Licensing) usually sends notices through snail mail. Even so, to double-check, I logged in to my actual account on the DOL website AND the city municipal court website (no clicking of links for this gal) to make certain. And what do you know? There is nothing about any unpaid violations. I'm thankful for r/scams for keeping me updated on stuff like this. You all are awesome!
