Fake Debt Collector Calls with Skip Tracing Threat

A bbb report about a other scam that cost someone $0.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

On 4/9/2026, I received a call from Tina from Williams Peters and Associates. She said they had made several attempts to reach me and I needed to contact them immediately, either by calling 833-661-8784 or visiting their website www.williamspeters.com. She stated if I did not reach out, they would escalate, including skip tracing within my county to locate me. I know I do not have any collections because I check my credit report regularly, so I knew this was a scam. Additionally, their own website shows a copyright dated 2026, which is a red flag.
