Book Publishing Xperts scam cost author $39,900

A bbb report about a other scam that cost someone $39900.0. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I’m posting this to warn other authors about a company calling itself Book Publishing Xperts. I am a USAF veteran and lost $39,900 to this operation. They used a Seattle virtual office address: 2815 Elliott Ave, Suite 100, and this phone number: +1 (332) 287-1639. The person calling himself “Ray Wilson” promised printing, distribution, and marketing for my book. None of it was real. No books were printed, no distribution happened, and they sent me fabricated royalty statements claiming I was owed $104,000 to pressure me into paying more. This is a coordinated publishing scam. I’ve filed complaints with the Washington State Attorney General, Oklahoma Attorney General, FTC, IC3 (FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center), BBB, and consumer protection agencies. Posting here so other authors don’t fall for this. If you’ve been contacted by Book Publishing Xperts, please be careful.
