I received these two text messages, one yesterday and one today. I'm not having any work done on our place. Then it hit me (slow in the uptake right now post-surgery) that these are probably the same scams that start out with a mistyped number, and they're so sorry and they believe in fate and ask that before they get to the scamming.
*First text from LA area code*:
"Tina": Please refrain from placing any building materials in front of my door. Thank you.
Me: You have the wrong number.
"Tina": I'm your neighbor, Tina. I'm contacting you to ask you to clean up the construction debris piled up in front of my house.
Me: Tina, you have the wrong number. Good luck finding your neighbor. (I blocked "Tina" at this point.)
"Tina": What you said has me very confused. Is this Chris?
*Second text from Hawaii area code*:
"Tina" (again): Please avoid placing building materials near my doorway.
Me: Wrong number
"Tina": Chris, this is your neighbor Tina. Mary gave me this number. Please don't leave your building materials at my doorstep anymore.
