Two guys just came to my door to do a free pressure wash on our driveway. I rent a room in the house and my aunt is the owner. At first he said they usually take £25 but they'd do it for £5. I thought it was too low, and he asked for my budget when I said I'm renting here. He then asked how much my budget was, so I thought he meant how much I pay per month and I told him around £500. He said he'd go no higher than that and told me to go inside and have a tea. I got really uneasy and went back to tell them to stop, saying the owner didn't want it. They said they'd already sprayed the material—2 litres of materials—and it costs £240. I said, "I thought you said £5," and he said, "£5 per square foot." So I asked about the whole process and he said it'd be £480, which I can't pay. We talked a bit and I went back in to wake my aunt, who did nightshift last night. She said she can't pay and that she's the owner, and they left.
