Scam Prevention Guide

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I came across a site called getcarely. co that’s advertising a product for elderly care. At first glance it looks legit, but there are some major red flags I wanted to share. The main issue: The promo video on instagram features a woman identified as “Sara,” implying she’s connected to the product but you never see the app or product. Other concerns: All AI photos (not one real one). No clear business identity or verifiable company info WHOIS/domain info is hidden or not easily found No real presence outside their own site (no credible reviews at Gizmodo, tech crunch, nytimes like they say) Marketing a sensitive product (elder care) with questionable claims They are claiming they want beta testers and to send $ plus they are going to ask you all their personal information. Just posting in case anyone else has seen this or was considering buying. If you’ve come across similar setups (especially using reused influencer videos with fake names), would be good to hear. Is it possible to trace who’s actually behind a site like this?
