You will probably see ads about Rip Rush (another app where you buy card packs and sell them, or have the card shipped to you) start to pop up. It just appeared out of nowhere. You might be enticed by their "welcome bonus" free packs to rip. I'm here to warn you that the deposits are easy, but the cash out / shipping process will blindside you.
They go a step further than regular KYC verification (a simple selfie + ID/license) because they will also demand your printed bank statements, your voter ID and/or very sensitive government documents for "proof of address". DO NOT give them these. Super shady! They even specify that screenshots of your bank statements + other documents aren't allowed.
I immediately deleted my account and uninstalled when I saw that frogsh*t, and got my $10 refund through paypal. I'll admit I was tempted at first because I got a Quaquaval ex card for ~$30. I really wanted to have that card to keep. Then I realized that it's not worth it if it meant having to make myself vulnerable to fraud.
They probably gave me a good card to try and convince me to send them all of that sensitive info. No thanks! They could totally use those documents for data harvesting and identity theft. These types of apps never need such documents just to confirm your identity. Please be safe out there!
