So, I wrecked my Lexus a few months ago, and it was towed and sold at auction. My mom just received this text, and to me it seems like someone was able to find out that I owned a 2005 Lexus, but couldn't find my phone number, so they messaged my mom. It doesn't really make sense: 'found a Suburban that was registered to a Lexus'? That doesn't make any sense. Plus the names of the cars are all capitalized like some cut/paste insert. I told her not to message them back, but just curious if anyone knows what this scam is. The phone number is a Bay Area prefix, but it is probably just Google Voice.
