Is Hulu having an issue with scammers? I called a legitimate Hulu customer service number—the one listed in my Hulu account under Help. I told the agent my Hulu bill was due today, but I was having issues with my debit card, so I went out and bought a Hulu gift card. Unfortunately, Hulu kept giving me the message "Can't redeem under this subscription."
He then told me not to worry about it and to give him my Hulu redeem code so he could enter it himself. I immediately hung up. Then he called back from another number a few seconds later that said "Scam likely."
I then called back Hulu's legitimate number, and another man answered. I gave him the rundown on everything that was happening. He also asked for my redeem code; then, when I said no, he told me to go on Chrome, enter incognito mode, then redeem the code through hulu.com/foward/gift. Everything just seemed off to me.
