Hinge match leads to cartel death threats

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I was talking with a girl I met on Hinge while trying to find a girlfriend (I'm a loser and loner, I get it). We exchanged numbers—I fucked up the moment I did that. Then out of nowhere she started talking about meetups and paying money for it, so I stopped talking to her. Now I'm getting messages from a guy saying he's a cartel commander and the owner of the brothel where the girl works, and that I wasted their time. So now I have to pay a fee, or they'll make me pay the hard way and hurt my family, since they have all my data. They also attached some corpse pictures of mutilated kids. What should I do right now? I'm really scared.
