Hey everyone, I’m looking for some help or to see if anyone else has dealt with a specific individual on WhatsApp who goes by the name Niranjan Kalayan. He builds trust by claiming to be a UPSC Officer and offers trading calls and investment schemes. My friend and I, being beginners, trusted him and sent money. Now he has stopped replying to calls and messages entirely.
What we know:
- Identity: He claims to be in the civil services (UPSC), but we suspect this is a fake persona used to gain trust.
- The Pattern: He takes money for 'trading capital,' promises returns, and then ghosts us once the transfer is done.
- The Info we have: We have his UPI ID and the phone number he was using.
Why I’m posting: We are trying to figure out his real identity. If you have been approached by this person or have also lost money to him, we want to know if anyone has managed to get a real name, a location, or a registered bank account name associated with him.
If you’ve been through this before and know how to track someone who is using a fake 'officer' identity, any advice would be appreciated. We don't want him hurting anyone else's brothers or families.
Please be careful—anyone claiming to be a government official while asking for trading money is a fraud.
