Fake Olipop Website Asked for My PIN

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I started adding to cart, and my order was processing and taking a lot longer than normal. It kept giving messages like "this may take a bit longer, don't turn away from the page or your order won't go through" and "please be patient." Then it asked for my PIN! That's when I thought, this can't be legit. I immediately went to my bank and requested a new card. I reported the site to Olipop. Why is this so easy? I went back to Google and now I see the real Olipop page... whatever this fake site was, they were gathering my bank info! Is this a common scam?
