I received this in my Facebook Messenger account. It's about a $725 million payout by Facebook (Meta) over a privacy issue. I took a screenshot to share. I removed the name of the scammer to protect their identity per the rules. I hope my title shows enough effort to help people not fall for this scam. Here's a written copy of the screenshot. HELLO [My Name], WE ARE PLEASED TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED TO RECEIVE A SETTLEMENT PAYMENT OF $100,000.00 USD UNDER THE $725 MILLION FACEBOOK (META) PRIVACY SETTLEMENT RELATED TO THE CAMBRIDGE ANALYTICA MATTER. TO PROCEED WITH CLAIM VERIFICATION AND INITIATE THE PAYMENT PROCESS, PLEASE REPLY WITH YOUR COMPLETE RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS (AS IT SHOULD APPEAR ON OFFICIAL RECORDS).
