This took me a few months to notice because it was a spoof of an actual subscription...
Apparently starting last October someone started charging me for a Facebook premium subscription that doesn't exist, billed through Google as "Facebook-Supporter-23" which then charges to PayPal which then deducts from my bank account.
I noticed it now because I am reorganizing my finances and having all my subscriptions charge to a single card, so this stuck out like a sore thumb when it hit.
So, I went to PayPal; they said talk to Google; Google said talk to Facebook; Facebook is a JOKE... they requested information, I provided it, then apparently they requested the same information AGAIN but didn't send me a notification of that request: instead, they waited and sent me a notification of them closing it out for "lack of response!"
So, I sent screenshots (well, 5 that's PayPal's limit?!?) to PayPal and GET THIS: they put a hold on my account due to fraudulent activity so I had to jump through hoops to secure it... and at the same time determined that the charges were fine!
So, I am trying to close my PayPal account: I no longer trust them with access to my money. Of course, they say there are pending transactions (they are including my dispute as pending?!?)
Anyone have any recommendations? How can I cancel a subscription I didn't sign up for? Does Google have a way to dispute things? How can I cut off any and all charges from Meta/Facebook to Google?
Getting rid of PayPal is one thing, but I am pretty enmeshed with Google: I have an Android and use Google Play, GMAIL, etc.
There is NOTHING under Subscriptions on my Facebook, not even my legitimate subscription.
