I've had a number of calls from private numbers, from elderly women, who just want to talk because they are having family issues.
The first one caught me off guard when I was at work and after I said I'll transfer her to the Samaritans, they hung up.
I then had 4 missed calls overnight, and one this morning, which I decided to answer to see where the conversation would go.
It was a troubled woman from Glasgow, I asked her how old she was, and she replied with 35. I laughed and said you sound at least 70. No talk about money but they did ask my age and my location, which I mirrored their answers (I'm not 35 from Glasgow). Both answered calls seemed very scripted.
It got me wondering what the purpose of the call was. Has anyone else had similar calls? I suspect at some point the conversation would turn to money but I'm also concerned if they are harvesting my voice.
