I received a letter.
The first two things that caught my eye were the lack of a return address and that the sender used a USPS International Mail Forever stamp. I've used the same stamp sending Christmas cards overseas (from the US).
The letter claimed to be from a Canadian lawyer and asked for my help to claim an $11 million life insurance policy before it was sent to abandoned property. They claimed the deceased shared my last name, so they could add me to the policy.
10% would go to charity and we'd split the difference.

It's one of the better looking scam letters I've seen. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation are all pretty spot on. They even spelled my name right which half of my work colleagues can't even manage.
