Scam Prevention Guide

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

I was reached out to by a lady on telegram asking me to review movies. I have been scammed before so I was extremely cautious. Everything seemed legit was completing tasks and cashing out. Didn’t have to deposit money until today. Was sketched out about it but was reassured repeatedly I’d be able to cash out once completed. They called them multipliers and said they are very rare. Ended up 1900 down. Once I completed all tasks and went to cash out, the cash out was accepted on the website. Waited for money to come through it didn’t. I messaged customer service regarding it and they informed me I reached the tax threshold and I had to pay taxes on my money. I told them to take it out of my earnings. They said they couldn’t and couldn’t send me my money until taxes were paid. Is anyone else encountering this? Is there a way to get your money back? Any help without being rude would be amazing thank you
