Amazon's Fake Electronics Parts Problem

A reddit report about a impersonation scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

Amazon is completely filled with fake companies, fake reviews, and falsely advertised products. These fake companies have somewhat easy-to-spot bot/fake reviews. I don't know why I don't see many people talking about these fake companies selling faulty, and sometimes empty, packages. They are so blatant. There are usually 1-star reviews saying they're fake, but those reviewers were reimbursed by Amazon, so the review is invalid, I guess. I am exhausted looking for specific parts I need for fixing electronics, and so many of these parts are sold as low quality, or just straight up fake. This has been a problem on Amazon for years, and I feel there should be more awareness.
