Hey everyone,
Today I experienced something really scary and I want to know if this has happened to anyone else.
In the morning, I got a call from someone claiming to be from a delivery service (Expressbees). He said my product delivery wasn't updated and asked me to share an OTP for confirmation. I was in a hurry and didn't think much, so I shared the OTP.
Within minutes, he got access to my Meesho account and started placing return requests for my suits (worth around ₹4000). He added his own UPI ID and even changed the pickup address to Bihar.
I kept cancelling the return requests again and again, but he kept raising them repeatedly. Despite my efforts, one of my suits (₹583) was actually picked up.
What's shocking is:
- The product was delivered in Panchkula, but pickup happened from Bihar — how is that even possible?
- No extra verification was required to change UPI ID or pickup address.
- I couldn't even remove his UPI ID for 24 hours.
- Meesho support response was slow even after reporting immediately.
This honestly feels like it's not possible without involvement or negligence from the delivery partner.
I still have the remaining products, but now I'm worried about my account security and the seller's loss as well.
Has anyone else faced something like this with Meesho or any delivery service?
What steps should I take next to protect myself and recover the loss?
Would really appreciate any advice or similar experiences.
Thanks.
