Hey everyone, I think I might’ve received a scam call pretending to be from CBSA (Canada Border Services Agency), and I’m not sure how concerned I should be. The caller asked if I was [my name], and I said yes. They then asked if I had ordered something from China — I mentioned I had ordered something from Temu. After that, they said the call was being recorded and asked if I spoke Chinese because the package label was in Chinese. I said no. Then they claimed there was a package declared as “sugar” but actually contained illegal substances. At that point, it started to feel off. The caller said they would “check internally” and ended the call. I asked what the call was about, but didn’t get much more info. Now I’m worried because I confirmed my name, they know my phone number is tied to me, and I acknowledged ordering something from China. Did I mess up by confirming that info? Is there anything I should do next to protect myself? Thanks in advance.
