Fake Shopping Scam Alert

A reddit report about a fake_shopping scam that cost someone Amount not specified. Learn how to avoid falling victim.

My roommate and I had recently gotten into collecting Pokémon cards and are trying different sites and shops (mostly local to QC) to find the best. One day we came across this site "gradedpokemons. com". We were suspicious because the prices are a little too good and the site itself looks.....well, a little juvenile and just a lot of red flags visual cues. So instead of ordering the bigger thing we were looking for, we decided to order a single pack from them. Cut to today when my roommate gets an e-mail saying their order was canceled as they requested (which they didn't) and the payment hasn't been refunded. 🤔 (Also the company name on top of the e-mail didn't match the site name.) My roommate sent off an e-mail to inquire about why the order was cancelled as they didn't request it to be. So we're waiting and seeing now. Will update with further info. Edit: The domain was only registered in December and only for one year, AND there's no e-mail address or physical mailing address on their "contact us" page. 'Tis not looking good.
