Two months ago, I bought a $100 Costco Shop Card in a warehouse in South Florida. I put it in my desk drawer for 2 months. A few days ago, I decided to add it to my Costco wallet and I saw that there was no gift card balance! I went to the warehouse where I bought it, the Costco employee asked me where do I shop? I said 2 locations in South Florida. He made a phone call. Later, he told me that it was used in Illinois. I told him I never went there. He issued me a new $100 Costco Shop Card. How was someone able to know my gift card number and PIN before I bought my Costco gift card?
